Hudson’s Clean&Green™ focus puts sustainability into action and helps move maritime trade forward.

As an industry leader, Hudson has consistently looked beyond merely meeting requirements. We continue to innovate and make decisions today that help shape the future of shipping.

Our commitment to sustainability has earned Hudson an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing the company among the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.  This award reflects Hudson’s efforts across Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Hudson has never shied away from charting a different course, especially when it comes to sustainability. Our NO to Scrubbers policy is a prime example.  As the industry prepared for the IMO 2020 sulphur regulations, Hudson made the forward-thinking decision to comply by burning cleaner fuels rather than installing toxic scrubbers. To us, the path was simple: don’t transfer pollution from the air into our oceans – burn cleaner fuels.

That position remains unchanged today. The HSL Series is scrubber-free by design, combining cleaner fuels with advanced technologies engineered to improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact.  This same progressive approach is central to Hudson’s broader ESG initiatives and commitment to continuous improvement.

EcoVadis goes beyond evaluating environmental performance.  Its assessment also considers labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, areas where Hudson continues to strengthen its policies, practices, and supply chain engagement.

This Bronze Medal achievement showcases an important, independent benchmark of Hudson’s progress in our sustainability journey.

For Hudson, Clean&Green™ and leadership means looking beyond what is required today and working toward a better tomorrow.
