Hudson Shipping Lines is a leader in international supply chain, logistics, and shipping.  We seek a talented and motivated individual to support our Operations & SCM team full-time.

As an Operations Trainee, on-the-job training will prepare you to play a key role in providing support to our ocean-going vessel(s) and commodity operations as they relate to the complete supply chain. Operations Trainees act as the “go-to” internally as well as for our partners, customers, vendors, ship captains, and agents.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing day-to-day vessel, cargo, and supply chain operations
• Corresponding with individuals and companies globally
• Preparing  invoices and other necessary documentation
• Ensuring compliance with international regulations

The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical thinking and negotiation skills.  They will display exceptional problem-solving and time management skills and will be goal oriented and extroverted while also being able to work independently.

A four-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience is required as well as proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications.  All candidates must speak and write English without hesitation.  Fluency in other languages is a plus but is not required.
